A Flybe de Havilland Dash 8-400, registration G-JECR performing flight BE-480 from Manchester,EN to Belfast City,NI (UK) with 52 people on board, was on approach to Belfast City Airport's runway 22 when the crew initiated a go around from about 2000 feet due to the flaps not extending beyond the takeoff setting. The crew decided to divert to Glasgow Prestwick,SC (UK) where the aircraft landed safely about 40 minutes later.

The airline reported following a suspected technical fault the captain decided to divert to Glasgow Prestwick as a precaution.
