A UTAir Boeing 737-500, registration VQ-BAE performing flight UT-400 from Grozny to Moscow Vnukovo (Russia), was on final approach to Vnukovo's runway 24 when the crew initiated a go around. The aircraft climbed to 900 meters, positioned for another approach to runway 24 and landed safely about 13 minutes after the first approach.

Posts on Social Media subsequently claimed the aircraft had encountered a stick shaker activation. These posts were picked up by Russian media and even western Aviation Media creating coverages suggesting the aircraft nearly crashed similiar to an earlier occurrence, see Accident: UTAir B735 at Moscow on Oct 13th 2017, loss of control recovered.

The airline reported however that no stall, no approach to stall, no stick shaker activation or any scenario of loss of control had occurred, the captain decided to go around to "achieve optimal parameters for landing" and landed safely in normal mode on the second approach.

Data off the aircraft's transponder confirm the aircraft never slowed to any dangerous speed or encountered maneouvers similiar to those of Oct 13th 2017.

On Nov 14th 2017 Rosaviatsia reported the aircraft went around due to an unstabilized approach at an incorrect vertical profile.

The occurrence aircraft continued its schedule.
