A Ryanair Boeing 737-800, registration EI-DWZ performing flight FR-3775 from Malta (Malta) to Bristol,EN (UK), was climbing out of Malta when the crew reported problems with the landing gear, stopped the climb at FL140, entered a hold to burn off fuel and returned to Malta for a safe landing about 90 minutes after departure, turned off the runway and taxied to the apron.

A replacement Boeing 737-800 registration EI-DPZ positioned to Malta, resumed the flight and delivered the passengers to Bristol with a delay of 6 hours.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground about 13 hours after landing back.
