A Virgin Australia Boeing 737-800, registration VH-VUA performing flight VA-546 from Coolangatta,QL to Sydney,NS (Australia), was climbing through FL100 out of Coolangatta when the crew received an abnormal indication for one of the engines (CFM56), stopped the climb and diverted to Brisbane,QL (Australia) for a safe landing about 30 minutes after departure.

The airline reported an indication illuminated after takeoff prompting the crew to divert to Brisbane. The passengers are being taken to hotels over night.
