A Swiss International Airlines Airbus A319-100, registration HB-IPX performing flight LX-1019 from Dusseldorf (Germany) to Zurich (Switzerland) with 33 passengers, was descending towards Zurich when the crew reported minor brakes problems, requested runway 16 and emergency services on stand by advising they would prefer to stop on the runway. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on runway 16 touching down at a normal speed but needing a longer roll out than usual.

The aircraft remained on the ground for about 3:20 hours, then resumed service.
