The return flight was cancelled.
The airline reported captain and first officer were taken to a hospital as a precaution and were discharged after medical examinations. The pilots have already returned to Zurich and were released to flying duties by Swiss Medical Services. The fumes occurred during the approach to Washington, the occurrence is not being investigated by FAA, NTSB or SUST.
According to information The Aviation Herald received a replacement crew travelled to Washington as passengers.
The aircraft remained on the ground in Washington until Mar 23rd 2026, then positioned to Zurich and is still on the ground in Zurich 7 hours after landing.
