Easyjet A320 near Milan on Jan 30th 2015, turbulence injures two cabin crew

An Easyjet Airbus A320-200, registration G-EZUC performing flight U2-5293 from London Gatwick,EN (UK) to Milan Malpensa (Italy) with 137 passengers and 7 crew, was descending through FL220 towards Milan, the crew had inquired with ATC about reports of turbulence and received information of light to moderate turbulence, when the crew advised cabin crew of the possibility of turbulence and instructed cabin crew to secure the cabin early. A few minutes later the aircraft encountered two jolts in quick succession while in clear air causing two flight attendants to receive injuries. The aircraft continued for a safe landing at Milan's Malpensa Airport. The two injured flight attendants were taken to a hospital.

The return flight U2-5296 departed with a delay of 3 hours.

The British AAIB reported in their May Bulletin that one flight attendant received serious injuries (broken ankle) and the other minor injuries (serious bruises).
