An American Airlines Airbus A321-200, registration N122NN performing flight AA-2431 from Los Angeles,CA to Chicago O'Hare,IL (USA), was climbing out of Los Angeles' runway 25R when the crew declared emergency reporting they had an aft cargo door open. The aircraft stopped the climb at about 10,000 feet and returned to Los Angeles for a safe landing on runway 25L about 25 minutes after departure.

A replacement A321-200 registration N131NN reached Chicago with a delay of about 3 hours.
