A Jet Airways Boeing 737-800, registration VT-JFM performing flight 9W-412 from Mumbai to Jodhpur (India) with 167 people on board, was on final approach to Jodhpur's runway 23 when a bird impacted the aircraft prompting the crew to go around. The aircraft positioned for another approach to runway 23 and landed safely about 15 minutes after the go around.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Jodhpur about 15 hours.

The airline reported the aircraft sustained a bird hit during final approach to Jodhpur, the captain decided to go around as a precaution and landed safely on second approach. The damage to the aircraft is being assessed.
