A NAM Air Avions de Transport Regional ATR-72-212A, registration PK-NYY performing inaugural flight IN-750 from Nabire to Biak (Indonesia), was climbing out of Nabire's runway 34 when the crew needed to feather the right hand propeller and shut the right hand engine (PW127) down. The aircraft returned to Nabire for a safe landing on runway 16 about 15 minutes after departure.

A ground observer reported the aircraft departed normally but returned about 10-15 minutes later with the right hand propeller stationary. The aircraft taxied to the apron.
