A Delta Airlines Airbus A320-200, registration N362NW performing flight DL-685 from Atlanta,GA (USA) to Port au Prince (Haiti) with 132 people on board, had just reached cruise level 320 about 80nm north of Daytona Beach,FL (USA) at about 15:33L (19:33Z) while deviating around a frontal system with embedded storm cells when aircraft flew through hail prompting the crew to divert to Daytona Beach reporting a cracked windshield at the first officer's side as result of the hail strike. The aircraft landed safely in Daytona Beach about 25 minutes later.

The remainder of the flight was cancelled.
