A THY Turkish Airlines Boeing 737-800, registration TC-JGL performing flight TK-2011 from Kayseri to Istanbul (Turkey), was climbing out of Kayseri's runway 07 when the aircraft received a bird strike prompting the crew to stop the climb at about 7000 feet and return to Kayseri for a safe landing on runway 25 about 10 minutes after departure.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Kayseri about 17.5 hours after landing back.
