A KLM Boeing 737-800, registration PH-BXE performing flight KL-1387 from Amsterdam (Netherlands) to Kiev (Ukraine), was climbing out of Amsterdam's runway 09 when the crew stopped the climb at FL190 reporting the left main gear still indicated green (down and locked) with all other gear having retracted normally. The crew decided to return to Amsterdam and landed safely on runway 27 about one hour after departure.

A replacement Boeing 737-800 registration PH-BXH reached Kiev with a delay of 2:20 hours.
