An American Airlines Airbus A321-200, registration N587UW performing flight AA-892 from Philadelphia,PA to Seattle,WA (USA), was enroute at FL320 about 110nm northwest of Minneapolis,MN (USA) when the crew decided to turn around and divert to Minneapolis reporting they had indications the right hand engine's (V2533) thrust reverser might open in flight. The aircraft landed safely on Minneapolis' runway 30L about 30 minutes later. The aircraft vacated the runway and stopped for an inspection by emergency service, who reported seeing nothing unusual. The aircraft taxied to the apron.

The remainder of the flight was cancelled.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground about 9 hours later.
