An ANA All Nippon Airways Boeing 777-200, registration JA711A performing flight NH-770 from Okinawa to Osaka (Japan) wiht 405 people on board, was enroute at FL310 about 140nm northeast of Okinawa when the crew needed to shut the right hand engine (PW4077) down due to a malfunction. The aircraft turned around while drifting down and landed back in Okinawa about 70 minutes after departure.

The flight was cancelled.
