An Allegiant Air McDonnell Douglas MD-83, registration N425NV performing positioning flight G4-4203 from Asheville,NC to Westfield,MA (USA) with just crew on board, was cleared to land on Westfield's runway 20, touched down and came to a stop about 200 feet short of a runway sweeper truck.

On Jun 2nd 2017 the NTSB released their preliminary notice stating that the runway sweepers were operating on the last 4000 feet of the runway when the aircraft touched down in instrument meteorological conditions and came to a stop about 200 feet short of a runway sweeper truck. The occurrence was rated an incident and is being investigated by the NTSB.

Westfield's runway 20 is 9000 feet (2743 meters) long.
