A KLM Cityhopper Embraer ERJ-190, registration PH-EZK performing flight KL-1029 from Amsterdam (Netherlands) to London Heathrow,EN (UK), was enroute at FL240 when the crew received indications of an avionics problem and consulted with maintenance. In the meantime the aircraft was descending towards London when the crew stopped the descent at FL120 after being advised to return to Amsterdam. The aircraft climbed to FL250 and returned to Amsterdam for a safe landing about 70 minutes after departure.

A replacement ERJ-190 registration PH-EZF reached London with a delay of 4:40 hours.

The occurrence aircraft returned to service the following morning after about 10.5 hours on the ground.
