A Transwest Air Saab SF-340B, registration C-GTWK performing a charter flight from Saskatoon,SK to Stony Rapids,SK (Canada) with 27 people on board, was climbing out of Saskatoon when the crew observed the loss of oil pressure for the left hand engine (CT7), stopped the climb at about 15,000 feet, shut the engine down and returned to Saskatoon for a safe landing about 20 minutes later.

The Canadian TSB reported maintenance found a loose fitting on the oil pressure line. The fitting was retightened, a run up was successful.
