A Southwest Airlines Boeing 737-700, registration N7811F performing flight WN-530 from Houston Hobby,TX to Kansas City,MO (USA) wit 58 people on board, was on final approach to Kansas City's runway 01L when the crew went around reporting a flaps issue. The crew worked the related checklists, positioned the aircraft for another approach to runway 01L and landed safely at a higher than normal speed (about 172 knots over ground). The aircraft vacated the runway and stopped for a check of the brakes by emergency services, then taxied to the gate.

The occurrence aircraft resumed service about 20.5 hours after landing.
