An Air Transat Airbus A330-200, registration C-GJDA performing flight TS-560 from Montreal,QC (Canada) to Cancun (Mexico) with 255 people on board, was enroute at FL380 near Jacksonville,FL (USA) when a computer used by cabin crew overheated and emitted smoke. Cabin crew immediately put the device into a container full with water, which cooled the device down, the smoke ceased. Cabin crew periodically monitored the status of the device while the aircraft continued to destination for a safe landing about 2:20 hours later.

The Canadian TSB commented: "The device was removed from service."
