A Sunexpress Boeing 737-800, registration TC-SNE performing flight XQ-170 from Antalya (Turkey) to Hamburg (Germany) with 160 passengers, was on approach to Hamburg while descending through 10,000 feet about 12 minutes prior to landing when the crew reported a hydraulics failure which would affect their flaps and landing gear. The aircraft continued for a safe landing at a rather normal speed on Hamburg's runway 23 about 12 minutes later and taxied to the apron.

The aircraft remained on the ground for 11 hours until it was able to perform the return flight XQ-73 to Antalya.

An observer on the ground reported that leaking hydraulic fluid was observed after the aircraft reached the gate.
