A Delta Airlines Boeing 717-200, registration N989AT performing flight DL-1066 from Atlanta,GA to Nashville,TN (USA), was climbing out of Atlanta when the crew stopped the climb at FL210 due to a gear indication and diverted to Chattanooga,TN (USA) for an approach to runway 20. On final approach the aircraft went around however, the crew requested delay vectors to read some checklists, then requested emergency services on stand by. About 25 minutes after the go around the aircraft landed safely on runway 20.

A replacement Airbus A321-200 registration N318DX is currently positioning to Chattanooga as flight DL-9941 and is estimated to reach Nashville with a delay of 5.5 hours.
