A Martinair Boeing 747-400, registration PH-CKB performing freight flight MP-8142 from Nairobi (Kenya) to Amsterdam (Netherlands), was enroute at FL370 about 100nm northeast of Frankfurt/Main (Germany) when the crew declared PAN and descended the aircraft to FL250 due to problems with the fire loops of the #2 engine (CF6, inboard left). The crew advised they had intermittent activations of fire loop A and B on the #2 engine. The aircraft continued to Amsterdam for a safe landing on runway 27 about 30 minutes later.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground about 14 hours after landing but is currently being prepared for its next flight.
