A Delta Airlines Boeing 717-200, registration N934AT performing flight DL-2824 from Lafayette,LA to Atlanta,GA (USA), was descending towards Atlanta when the flight crew declared emergency reporting unusual noises from the nose suggesting a possible nose gear problem. The aircraft continued to Atlanta for a safe landing with emergency services on stand by.

The FAA reported the crew indicated a possible nose gear problem, emergency services were on standby for the landing.

The airline reported the crew heard an abnormal noise from the nose, suspected a nose gear problem and requested emergency services on stand by.

The occurrence aircraft departed for the next flight about two hours after landing.
