A bmibaby Boeing 737-300, registration G-TOYJ performing flight WW-5532 from Faro (Portugal) to East Midlands,EN (UK), was enroute at FL320 about 80nm eastnortheast of Lisbon when the crew donned their oxygen masks, declared PAN and descended the aircraft to FL250 due to problems with the cabin pressure. The aircraft continued on FL250 before the crew decided to divert to Bordeaux (France) for a safe landing about one hour after leaving FL320.

The aircraft was on the ground for about 3 hours, then continued the journey climbing to FL200 and maximum FL220 during the remainder of the flight. The aircraft reached East Midlands with a delay of 3 hours.
