A Gulf Air Airbus A320-200, registration A9C-AG performing flight GF-506 from Bahrain (Bahrain) to Dubai (United Arab Emirates), was climbing out of Bahrain when the crew stopped the climb at about FL150 due to the first officer feeling unwell. The aircraft returned to Bahrain for a safe landing about 20 minutes after departure. The first officer was taken to a hospital.

A replacement first officer enabled the aircraft to depart again after about 65 minutes, the flight reached Dubai with a delay of 80 minutes.
