A Delta Airlines Boeing 737-800, registration N392DA performing flight DL-363 from Atlanta,GA (USA) to Mexico City (Mexico), was enroute at FL360 about 200nm northwest of Tampico (Mexico) when the crew needed to shut one of the engines (CFM56) down. The aircraft diverted to Tampico for a safe landing about 30 minutes later.
