A Rusline Airbus A319-100, registration VP-BDZ performing flight 7R-8508 from Antalya (Turkey) to Ufa (Russia) with 158 passengers (including 3 infants) and 6 crew, was enroute at FL350 near Volgograd (Russia) when the crew observed an increased fuel flow for the right hand engine (CFM56) as well as resulting fuel imbalance and decided to divert to Volgograd. Both engines were kept running, the aircraft landed safely.

A replacement Airbus A319-100 registration VP-BDY reached Ufa with a delay of about 13 hours.

Rosaviatsia opened an investigation into the occurrence.
