The aircraft suffered extensive scrape damage over several meters to the underside of the aft belly as well as structural damage. The aircraft is still on the ground in Cebu on Jan 18th 2017.
The Philippine's Civil Aviation Authority (CAAP) rated the occurrence an accident identifying substantial damage and opened an investigation.
According to ATDB the aircraft joined the fleet of Philippine Airlines on Oct 25th 2016 following the first flight on Oct 11th 2016 after manufacture.
