A Sun Express Boeing 737-800 on behalf of Eurowings, registration D-ASXC performing flight EW-1216 from Dusseldorf (Germany) to Stockholm (Sweden) with 168 people on board, was on approach to Stockholm's Arlanda Airport when the crew went around from about 3000 feet due to a problems with the flaps. The aircraft entered a hold at 5000 feet while the crew worked the related checklists and computed their new landing performance. The aircraft landed safely on Arlanda's runway 19R at a higher speed than normal (177 knots over ground) about 40 minutes after aborting the first approach.

The return flight EW-1217 was cancelled.
