A United Boeing 747-400, registration N122UA performing flight UA-892 from Seoul (South Korea) to San Francisco,CA (USA), was on approach to San Francisco when a flap track fairing cover came loose. The crew entered a hold at 6000 feet to prepare for a landing on San Francisco's runway 19L. The aircraft landed safely on that runway at a normal speed about 25 minutes later.

The FAA reported the aircraft received minor damage when a flap track fairing cover came loose on approach to San Francisco.
