On approach to Athens the crew advised the fire indication had just ceased, it had been in the "middle". While intercepting the localizer the crew reported the fire indication had just activated again on the main deck middle. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on runway 03R about 33 minutes after leaving FL330.

A listener on frequency reported that during one of the transmissions from the flight deck a fire bell could be clearly heard.

The aircraft remained on the ground for about 4 hours, then continued the flight and reached Tel Aviv. The aircraft is still on the ground in Tel Aviv about 10 hours after landing.
