An Emirates Airlines Boeing 777-300, registration A6-EBA performing flight EK-164 from Dublin (Ireland) to Dubai (United Arab Emirates), was climbing out of Dublin's runway 28 when the crew reported a slight technical problem and requested to level off at 6000 feet. About 15 minutes later the crew advised they had an issue with a cargo door, needed to dump fuel and would return to Dublin. The aircraft was vectored over the Irish Sea, dumped fuel, and landed safely on Dublin's runway 28 about 70 minutes after departure.

The aircraft was able to depart again after about 2 hours on the ground and reached Dubai with a delay of 3 hours.
