A Sprintair Saab 340A, registration SP-KPO performing flight P8-563 from Riga (Latvia) to Warsaw (Poland) with 2 crew, was on final approach to Warsaw's runway 33 about 7.5nm before touchdown when the crew received a master caution, the autopilot dropped offline and the crew received fault indications for the "R ESS BUS" and "R MAIN BUS". The captain decided to abort the landing but perform a low approach instead in order to have the landing gear inspected from the ground, then the crew worked the related checklists. The aircraft positioned for another approach to runway 33 and landed safely about 20 minutes after aborting the first approach.

Poland's PKBWL reported the cause of the occurrence was a fault of the power distribution unit (PDU).

3 days later the aircraft encountered similiar issues, see Incident: Sprint SF34 near Warsaw on Jun 13th 2016, electrical problem with essential bus.
