An Air Canada Boeing 767-300, registration C-GEOU performing flight AC-91 from Sao Paulo Guarulhos,SP (Brazil) to Toronto,ON (Canada) with 205 people on board, was enroute at FL320 about 170nm north of Sao Paulo when the crew noticed an acrid odour in the cockpit, declared Mayday and decided to return to Sao Paulo's Guarulhos Airport. The aircraft landed safely back about one hour after departure.

The Canadian TSB reported maintenance determined the right hand cockpit window #1 terminal block connector as source of the odour due to window seal discolouration. The window and window heat controller were replaced.

The aircraft departed Sao Paulo as flight AC-2111 about 35 hours after landing back and reached Toronto with a delay of 38 hours.
