Germanwings A320 at Cologne on Nov 14th 2016, brakes ignore non-smoking sign

A Germanwings Airbus A320-200, registration D-AIQN performing flight 4U-8056 from Berlin Tegel to Cologne/Bonn (Germany), landed on Cologne's runway 14L touching down at a normal speed (about 128 knots over ground). During roll out smoke became visible from the brakes prompting the crew to stop on the runway, emergency services responded and cooled the brakes. After brakes were down to normal temperatures the aircraft taxied to the apron about 35 minutes later.

The aircraft was able to depart for the return flight about 2 hours later and reached Tegel with a delay of 2.5 hours. The aircraft did not resume service following landing in Tegel and is still on the ground in Berlin about 7 hours after landing in Tegel.
