A passenger reported that maintenance came on board of the aircraft, some time later the captain announced that the door seal of door 1R (right hand forward door) had fractured.
A replacement Airbus A320-200 registration G-EZOI was dispatched to Athens, resumed the journey and delivered the passengers to Larnaca with a delay of about 6 hours.
The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground in Athens for 20.5 hours, then resumed service.
