A PIA Pakistan International Airlines Airbus A320-200, registration AP-BLS performing flight PK-295 from Lahore to Rahim Yar Khan (Pakistan) with 130 people on board, climbed out of Lahore's runway 36R when an engine (CFM56) ingested a bird prompting the crew to stop the climb at 3000 feet and return to Lahore for a safe landing on runway 36R about 15 minutes after departure.

A replacement Airbus A320-200 registration AP-BLU reached Rahim Yar Khan with a delay of 3 hours.

The engine received damage to the fan blades.
