A Sriwijaya Boeing 737-300, registration PK-CKF performing flight SJ-565 from Makassar to Surabaya (Indonesia), received serious punctures to the lower fuselage while landing on Surabaya's runway due to runway surface damage (asphalt). There were no injuries, the aircraft received substantial damage.

AirNav Indonesia reported some asphalt of the runway surface became loose and impacted the fuselage of the landing Boeing. Indonesia's NTSC have opened an investigation into the accident.
