A British Airways Boeing 747-400, registration G-CIVE performing flight BA-215 from London Heathrow,EN (UK) to Boston,MA (USA), was about to descend towards Boston when a number of bangs and vibrations occurred. The crew maintained routine communication and continued for a safe landing on Boston's runway 04R.

A passenger reported there were a number of bangs from the left hand side of the aircraft and vibrations. Cabin crew looked through the left hand windows, then spoke to the cockpit and advised passengers, that the crew had some indications but everything was okay.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Boston 46 hours after landing.
