A Pskovavia Antonov AN-24, registration RA-47697 performing flight PSW-1936 (dep Sep 26th) from Moscow Domodedovo to Pskov (Russia) with 32 people on board, landed at Pskov's runway in fog but went off the paved surface of the runway and came to a stop with all gear on soft ground about 20 meters off paved surface. There were no injuries, the aircraft sustained minor if any damage.

Russia's Northwestern Transport Prosecution Office have opened an investigation into the runway excursion.

On Nov 1st 2016 Rosaviatsia (Russia's Civil Aviation Authority) reported that the aircraft landed on runway 01 below weather minima at high speed resulting in hard braking, the inboard right hand main tyre burst, and the aircraft went beyond the runway end by about 85 meters. The cause of the serious incident was the lack of crew adhering to standard operating procedures, lack of discipline and shortcomings in the flight planning.
