A Jetblue Embraer ERJ-190, registration N353JB performing flight B6-1189 from Boston,MA to Washington National,DC (USA), was on approach to Washington's Ronald Reagan National Airport when a laser beam illuminated the cockpit causing an eye injury to one of the pilots. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on runway 01, while ground controllers were rushing a departure on push back in the alley Jetblue was assigned to to complete the push back and get out of the alley before the emergency arrived, cautioning at the same time of an ambulance moving nearby.

The FAA reported a flight crew member sustained an unknown eye injury when a laser beam illuminated the cockpit.
