A Compass Airlines Embraer ERJ-175 on behalf of American Airlines, registration N208AN performing flight CP-6006/AA-6006 from Los Angeles,CA to Denver,CO (USA), was on approach to Denver's runway 35L when a bird impacted a wing. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on runway 35L.

The FAA reported the aircraft sustained minor damage to the leading edge of the wing.

A replacement ERJ-175 registration N211NN performed the return flight, still flight CP-6006, with a delay of 5 hours.

The occurrence aircraft was able to resume service after about 18.5 hours on the ground.
