An Air Transat Airbus A310-300, registration C-GFAT performing flight TS-183 from Glasgow,SC (UK) to Toronto,ON (Canada) with 206 people on board, was climbing out of Glasgow when the crew stopped the climb at FL180 reporting a sensor problem. While working the related checklists the crew continued in the general direction towards Toronto. About 110nm westsouthwest of Glasgow the crew decided to turn around and return to Glasgow, where the aircraft landed safely on runway 23 about 55 minutes after departure. The aircraft stopped for an inspection by emergency services, then was towed to the apron.

The aircraft remained on the ground for about 4.5 hours, then departed again and is estimated to reach Toronto with a delay of 5.5 hours.

A passenger reported the crew announced a wing sensor problem forced them to return to Glasgow.

The airline reported the aircraft returned to Glasgow due to a technical issue.
