A Pegasus Boeing 737-800, registration TC-ARP performing flight PC-423 from Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen (Turkey) to Bologna (Italy), landed on Bologna's runway 12 at 14:37L (12:37Z), slowed and vacated the runway via high speed turn off G.

The airport reported the runway needed to be closed due to a gear problem of the landing flight PC-423. A tyre had burst and an additional problem with the landing gear caused the aircraft to cut the runway surface over a length of about one meter right in the middle of the touch down zone.

A ground observer reported the aircraft landed with a fractured wheel and caused runway surface damage over a length of 300 meters/1000 feet.
