An Easyjet Airbus A319-100, registration G-EZEZ performing flight U2-4891 from Naples (Italy) to Amsterdam (Netherlands), landed on Amsterdam's runway 18C maintaining routine communication and taxied to the apron.

The aircraft however was unable to continue its schedule and remained on the ground for 27 hours.

A passenger waiting for the return flight U2-4892 reported that they were advised the aircraft had received a bird strike upon arrival and is being inspected, the inspection would take about 2 hours. The flight departed with a delay of about 90 minutes and reached Naples with a delay of 90 minutes.

The passenger added later that ground personnel told them the flight crew had seen the bird and heard the sound of the impact onto the nose of the aircraft. The nose cone needed replacement.

A replacement A319-100 registration G-EZAM performed the return flight.
