A Delta Airlines Airbus A321-200, registration N308DN performing flight DL-1827 from Fort Lauderdale,FL to Atlanta,GA (USA), was climbing out of Fort Lauderdale when the crew stopped the climb at 11,000 feet reporting problems with the flaps and decided to divert to Orlando,FL (USA) advising the landing would be at a higher speed than normal and requested emergency services on standby. The aircraft landed safely on Orlando's runway 36L at a higher than normal speed (about 180 knots over ground), vacated the runway and stopped advising emergency services they had hot brakes above 600 degrees C at the left hand side still increasing temperature. The brakes fans were activated, the temperatures began to decrease and the aircraft was able to taxi to the apron.
