An American Airlines Airbus A319-100, registration N834AW performing flight AA-2159 from Boston,MA to Washington National,DC (USA), was descending towards Washington when the crew received indications of a hydraulic failure causing the loss of nose wheel steering. The crew considered to divert to Washington's Dulles International Airport but ultimately decided to divert to Baltimore,MD (USA) where the aircraft landed safely on runway 33L, stopped on the runway and shut down. Emergency services reported they didn't see any anomaly on the outside of the aircraft, the aircraft was towed to the apron with emergency services in trail.

A passenger reported the captain announced they were having hydraulic problems, associated was a loss of nose wheel steering, they would divert to Washington's International Airport but subsequently changed to Baltimore.
