An Ellinair Boeing 737-300, registration LY-LGC performing flight EL-904 from Thessaloniki (Greece) to Moscow Sheremetyevo (Russia) with 147 passengers and 5 crew, was climbing out of Thessaloniki's runway 34 when the crew stopped the climb at 4000 feet due to an indication, that the nose gear had not fully retracted. The aircraft entered a hold for 80 minutes to burn off fuel, performed a low approach to runway 34, positioned for another approach and landed safely on runway 34 about 100 minutes after departure.

A replacement Boeing 737-400 registration LY-CGC reached Moscow with a delay of 7 hours.
