A Gol Transportes Aereas Boeing 737-800, registration PR-GIO performing flight G3-7678 from Sao Paulo Guarulhos,SP (Brazil) to Buenos Aires Newbery,BA (Argentina) with 148 passengers, was enroute near Curitiba,PR (Brazil) when the crew reported problems with an engine (CFM56) and diverted to Curitiba for a safe landing.

A replacement Boeing 737-800 registration PR-GGH reached Buenos Aires with a delay of 2 hours.
